Case Study 1
Assisting a client with reducing their staffing turnover and costs
A large, nationwide company had an existing agreement with a national labour provider. Locally, they were unhappy with the service they were receiving. They were experiencing low quality staff and high levels of staff turnover, and so approached Searson Buck to discuss their options.
Using our local candidate knowledge Searson Buck was able to provide quality staff, carefully screened to ensure their suitability for the roles and the environment. A pricing structure was created to provide staff to the company at a cost which suited all parties and ensured that staff would be paid competitive rates. Searson Buck’s Account Manager was on hand to ensure a smooth transition for staff from the existing supplier’s books to Searson Buck’s, and to assist new staff to settle into the work environment. The Account Manager is now on site weekly for ‘toolbox’ and general meetings and the client is setting internal records for low staff turnover rates.
Case Study 2
Sourcing qualified candidates for roles
A local, medium sized organisation had a valued member of staff leave a role which was specialised and demanding. They had tried to fill the role internally but had failed to find anyone suitable, and so decided to go to the market.
They advertised the role in the local weekend paper and online, and while the number of applicants was high the quality was not. Contacted by Searson Buck some days after the advertisement appeared, we were engaged to conduct our own search. A thorough search of our extensive database and contact with active and passive candidates resulted in several strong candidates being presented to the organisation. The final shortlist of 3 candidates comprised one sourced by the client and two sourced by Searson Buck, and one of ours was successful in the role. Searson Buck is in regular contact with both the candidate and the client and 12 months later, the client has lodged multiple permanent roles and several temporary positions with us.
Case Study 3
Providing a wide range of services to assist with different staffing requirements
A state-wide organisation in the process of reviewing their internal HR structures and resourcing capacity, were considering engaging an external firm to do their executive and management recruitment.
Two Searson Buck Consultants met with the client to discuss the options available to them in terms of part or full recruitment service delivery, potential recruiting needs, peak season staffing needs, growth strategy and long term HR requirements. During the discussion the client mentioned a requirement for security staff at each of their premises. The Consultants were able to gather a basic understanding of the requirement, and then put our specialist SB Security Manager in touch with the client. The client has since engaged SB Security to manage the security services for the organisation, resulting in an immediate improvement in the onsite security staff and a reduction in associated staffing costs.
