Searson and Associates was established in 1988 and by the mid-1990s was one of the three major recruitment firms in Tasmania.

In 1998 Searson and Associates merged with Buck Human Resources to form Searson Buck Pty Ltd. This saw the establishment of several new initiatives and a broadening of the business to provide additional human resources services.

Searson Buck Workforce – a separate business for on-hired labour and labour management was established in 1999.

The Searson Buck Consulting division was initiated in 2000, offering clients access to services concerned with managing, developing and retaining their staff. In 2005 the addition of the Donington franchise expanded our service offering and in 2011 became international with a partnership with CPI a world-wide consultancy.

Searson Buck acquired Nurseline in 2010, complementing our current services with a specialist focus on the health sector and expanding our reach into the Melbourne healthcare staff market.  Similarly in 2011 we entered the Security staffing sector forming SB Security and now supply Guards and services to major clients across the state.

Searson Buck as we know it today is a strong Tasmanian business offering innovative Employment services including recruitment, HR solutions, career management and career transition. We aim to continue to lead the state in the local delivery of tailored, professional services to meet their employment needs.
