Joint CEO, Searson Buck

Maurice has more than 30 years experience in accounting, finance and business management, along with significant experience in managing staff and company recruitment needs.

Educated in Tasmania, Maurice is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He initially worked as a partner in a local accounting firm prior to taking up a partnership with national accounting firm, Price Waterhouse, where he spent seven years.

For nine years Maurice held the position of Financial Controller on the Executive Management team with Loughrans Pty Ltd, Tasmania's largest retailer of electrical products, prior to its sale to Harvey Norman.

Maurice joined Searson Buck as Director and a part-owner in 1999.  He is responsible, along with fellow directors, for the overall strategic direction and success of the company, managing in particular the key financial indicators of the business. Maurice aims to achieve financial success for Searson Buck by providing the best possible work environment for staff and facilitating innovative solutions to meet the recruitment needs of clients.

Maurice is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Stephen's career has spanned more than 30 years in the recruitment industry. He worked in Sydney and Melbourne prior to moving to Tasmania in 1988 and establishing Searson & Associates, a specialist Human Resource Consulting & Recruitment company. 

Born and educated in NSW, Stephen has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (UNSW), a Graduate Diploma in Management (SIT) and an MBA from the University of Tasmania.

Joint CEO of Searson Buck, Stephen has played an active role in growing the company into the largest Tasmanian owned recruitment, retention and people management business in Tasmania.  With fellow Directors, Stephen is responsible for the overall strategic direction and success of the company while still maintaining an active role in senior HR work.

Stephen is a member of the Vic/Tas Council of the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (RCSA) and a Fellow and former State President of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).  He is a member of the Athenaeum Club and the Hobart Rotary Club.

Stephen's professional objectives are to provide outstanding client service, to provide fulfilling careers and professional satisfaction for Searson Buck staff, and to achieve financial success for Searson Buck by providing innovative solutions for its many clients.

Andrew Jenkins

General Manager of Recruitment Division

Following a successful career in financial services and telecommunications, Andrew has recently joined Searson Buck as General Manager of the Recruitment Division.

Andrew is responsible for implementing Searson Buck's business plan across the Recruitment Division and ensuring our competitive advantage in the market is maximised. Key to this is maintaining our premium quality service through holding and developing our staff and ensuring operational alignment to our Core Values.

Born in Hobart, Andrew spent his early and high-school years growing up in Melbourne where he attended Haileybury College before studying economics at Monash University. Andrew has since completed a Diploma of Financial Planning and Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment and is currently completing an MBA.

Returning to Hobart with his family in 2005, Andrew continued his successful career, joining Telstra as a Corporate Account Executive and winning a National Sales Award for Excellence in 2006/2007.

A focused leader with broad commercial and management experience, Andrew is a welcome addition to the Searson Buck Executive Team.
