David Bartlett and Education Pathways
6th November 2007
The Tasmanian Minister for Education, Mr David Bartlett joined the Board and Executive of Searson Buck in October for an informal meeting and discussion. Of particular interest was the Government's vision and plan for education pathways starting from pre-school years through to tertiary levels and the positive and progressive work they are doing.
Engaging business in secondary and tertiary education is important, especially when a large proportion of people move into employment with organisations who then need to work with the education results. It is vitally important web get this right. Ongoing lifetime learning is greatly encouraged by early positive experiences and successful apprenticeships, traineeships and indeed all successful graduations from school to work count.
We were pleased to have with a busy Minister and appreciated him seeing the value in the part we play in helping link education and employment.
